Friday is National Manufacturing Day. Current State looks at the events going on in the Lansing area.

The Manufacturing community in Mid-Michigan is strong, according to the Capital Area Manufacturing Council. That's the message they're sending with student events they’re tomorrow for National Manufacturing Day.

Mid-Michigan manufacturers will partner with local schools for field trips, tours and more.

Current State talks with Michelle Cordano is the executive director of the Capital Area Manufacturing Council (CAM-C). We also speak with Fred Render, director of manufacturing at Capital Steel and Wire, is one of the companies participating tomorrow, and Nolan Wirth, a senior at St. Johns High School who attended last year’s Manufacturing Day.
