Michigan State University has announced the biggest single gift in the school’s history.

MSU Alumnus and real estate developer Edward J. Minskoff is committing $30-million dollars to the completion of a new business pavilion at the Eli Broad College of Business.

Minskoff did not attend a ceremony today, but did send a message about the contribution. “It’ll be there forever, so my great grandchildren will get to see it,” explains Minskoff. “That’s important to me, especially since Michigan State gave so much to me as a foundation for my moving forward in life.”

During his career, Minskoff has developed 40-million square feet of residential and office space in New York City and other major cities.

His $30-million dollar gift will help MSU complete the $62-million dollar pavilion at the school’s business college. It should open in the fall of 2019.
