Hall of Fame inductees discuss women who influenced them

The Michigan Women’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony is coming up later this week. Four of the Hall’s eight contemporary inductees have local ties, including Two Men and a Truck founder Mary Ellen Sheets and long-time educator Barbara Roberts Mason. Current State’s Scott Pohl talked with the other two local contemporary inductees.Dr. MaryLee Davis is a former professor in the MSU College of Education who now is a consultant to the dean of the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. Marylou Olivarez Mason is a former Lansing Community College board member who is executive director of the Hispanic-Latino Commission of Michigan in the state Department of Civil Rights.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
