Interim MSU President John Engler

Today was John Engler’s first day as interim president of Michigan State University, and he issued a campus-wide memo about the numerous investigations now underway related to the Larry Nassar scandal.

Engler says it is MSU policy to cooperate with probes, including a U.S. Department of Education Clery Act compliance review, requests for information from the Michigan House, congress and the state Attorney General, and possible NCAA violations.

Engler also asks for the utmost caution not to dispose of any records that might be relevant to pending inquiries.

Questions and reports of possible violations of this policy are directed to Brian Quinn in the Office of the General Counsel at MSU.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
