Lansing Mayor Andy Schor has announce a reorganization of his office.

Chief of Staff Samantha Harkins will serve as Deputy Mayor and will continue duties as Executive Assistant to the Mayor.

Chief Labor Negotiator Nicholas Tate will also serve as Chief Administrative Officer.

The director of the city’s department of Neighborhoods and Citizen Engagement, Andrea Crawford, will add the role of Chief Innovation Officer.

Schor will also appoint a Chief Restructuring/Strategy Officer, an idea proposed by Lansing’s Financial Health Team. That person will look into legacy costs, which make up about one-quarter of the city’s budget.
