Charlotte Public Schools Superintendent,Dr. Mandy Stewart, spoke with WKAR News, assuring families that exterminators along with dogs who can sniff out bed bugs and eggs, gave the all clear. She wants to stress that it was students carrying the bugs and it wasn't spaces at the schools that were affected.

On Monday, Feb. 23, the district alerted families that bed bugs were found in separate high school classrooms. By Tuesday, additional communication stated that professional exterminators along with K-9s were brought in to remedy the issue.
