The Morning After: analysts probe MI election results

Current State talks with Kyle Melinn of MIRS and Susan Demas of Inside Michigan Politics about Donald Trump's victory in Michigan and nationwide, along with other election results.

Talk of a negative “Trump effect” on downticket Michigan Republicans proved to be unfounded in Election 2016. A Republican wave not only catapulted Donald J. Trump to the White House, but returned GOP incumbents as well as Democratic incumbents back to Congress and to the Michigan state House.
