Canadian musician Jon Brooks will perform as part of the Pump House concert series in East Lansing on Saturday September 28th.
His album "Delicate Cages" reworks folk traditions to tell modern stories. Honor killings, child soldiers turned cage fighters, and the beauty of mercy are just some of the subjects Brook’s takes on in his work. Jon’s desire to write narratives through music stems back to his travels through Eastern Europe in the late 1990’s.
