Neighbors in Action: Capitol Area Literacy Coalition

http://www.thereadingpeople.org/

It’s Wednesday and time for our Neighbors in Action segment, where we feature people and organizations working to make our community a better place. Today we feature the Capitol Area Literacy Coalition. The coalition has been helping children and adults in the Lansing area learn to read for more than 30 years.

Founder and executive director Lois Bader says the coalition has a focus on helping people prepare to take the GED test.

If you’d like to nominate someone or an organization to be featured on our Neighbors in Action segment, please send an email to Currentstate@wkar.org. Put “Neighbors in Action” in the subject line, or tweet us @KARCurrentState and tell us why you think they should be featured for the great work they do.
