The MSU football team lost at Nebraska Saturday night, 39-38. Officiating in the game was controversial. The Spartans still cling to a shot at winning a Big Ten Championship after suffering their first loss of the season. Current State talks with sportswriter Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press.

MSU suffered a loss at Nebraska Saturday night on a controversial last-minute touchdown, 39-38. Coach Mark Dantonio has talked with the Big Ten about the officials ruling on the field that Nebraska receiver Brandon Reilly had been forced out of bounds rather than leaving the field of play on his own. That ruling meant he remained eligible to catch the pass that wound up being the winning score. The replay seemed to prove that he hadn't been forced out.

Joe Rexrode covers the Spartans for the Detroit Free Press. Current State talks with Rexrode about the Nebraska game and Saturday’s game with Maryland.
