The Big Ten Conference announced Thursday it will not play nonconference games in football and several other sports this fall, the most dramatic move yet by a power conference because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Big Ten Conference has announced that, beginning on Thursday, attendance at the Big Ten men's basketball tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN will be limited to student-athletes, coaches, event staff, essential team and staff, TV network partners, credentialed media, and immediate family members of the teams participating.
