EAST LANSING, MI – Michigan State linebacker Greg Jones was the only player from the Big Ten named to the first team of The Associated Press All-America squad.
Jones, a junior, was on the roster released Tuesday. He ranks third in the nation with 11.8 tackles per game.
It marks the second straight year a Michigan State player has made the AP first team. Running back Javon Ringer was named last year.
Michigan State faces Texas Tech in the Alamo Bowl on Jan. 2.
