MARSHALL, MI –
Enbridge Inc. chief executive Patrick Daniel says he hasn't set a target date to leave the site of an oil spill in the Kalamazoo River.
Daniel has been working from the Marshall area since the spill from an Enbridge pipeline was reported July 26. He says Monday he won't return to the Canadian company's headquarters in Calgary until the cleanup has progressed to the point where Michigan residents are pleased with the company's effort toward "making this right."
An estimated 820,000 to more than 1 million gallons flowed from the ruptured pipeline. Enbridge and the Environmental Protection Agency say the cleanup is progressing well.
There's no date set to restart the pipeline.
