Flint has a new series dedicated to highlighting films of African Americans. We speak with an organizer of their next film, "An American Ascent." We also talk with some of the folks behind this documentary about the first African-American team to try to climb the highest mountain in North America, Mt. Denali.

Tomorrow night, the Flint Institute of Arts hosts the next in the first African American Film Series, put on jointly by the FIA and Communities First.

Current State’s Jamie Paisley talks with the president of Communities First, Glenn Wilson about his passion for bringing the Flint and Genesee country area together over issues likesafe and affordable housing, economic development, environmental education & sustainability.
