Meet Lansing native Lisa Kron. She is the co-creator of last year’s Tony-winning powerhouse musical, "Fun Home," which is coming to the Wharton Center in 2017.

The Wharton Center announced its 2016-17 season this week, and among the broadway tours coming to East Lansing is one co-written by one of our own. The musical "Fun Home," which won multiple Tony Awards last year, including Best Musical, was written by composer Jeanine Tesori and mid-Michigan native Lisa Kron.

When the musical’s stop in East Lansing was announced, Lisa Kron came by the WKAR studios to chat with Current State's Jamie Paisley.
