Art Garfunkel performs Saturday at the Jackson College Potter Center.

He has one of popular music’s most recognizable voices. Art Garfunkel sang memorable hits like “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” We talk with the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer ahead of a weekend concert in Jackson.

Simon and Garfunkel won 14 Grammy Awards on their way to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. As a solo artist, Art Garfunkel has made ten albums and acted in movies like “Catch-22” and “Carnal Knowledge,” for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Supporting Actor. On Saturday, he’s performing at the Jackson College Potter Center.

Current State’s Scott Pohl talks with Art Garfunkel about the show and what he’s been up to lately.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
