High school students feel pressure to choose sport

HASLETT, Mich. -- “Specializing” is a growing trend for young athletes all over the country, and it has changed the game of youth sports. “Specializing” refers to when an athlete chooses to focus on only one sport, over playing different sports year round.

Some feel this is helpful, while others feel that it takes away from the benefit of high school athletics.

Haslett High School is dealing with the impact of students feeling pressured to make a choice of one sport.
