Matt Meagher, knows as "MMG" to online gamers, has recently reached 1 million subscribers on his YouTube channel that centers on the popular sports video game "Madden." Meagher is from Dewitt, Michigan and a current marketing major at Michigan State University. He turned his obsession with the "Madden" video game into a lucrative endeavor, starting with the mobile version of the popular gaming franchise. Meagher quickly discovered that there was a market for gamers out there that wanted to purchase "coins" (coins allow you to purchase cool additives in the game, like players) within "Madden," which Meagher had an excess of due to his outstanding success within the gaming interface. That was the initial spark lighting flame that is "MMG."
Meagher joined Current Sports host Al Martin on Tuesday to discuss his journey from video game obsession, to now an incredibly profitable six-figure venture that has captivated the gaming community.
