The MSU Board of Trustees meeting today saw an hour of public comment, with protesters loudly and repeatedly criticizing the board and interim President John Engler.

With members of the group ReclaimMSU holding up phones with photos of survivors of Larry Nassar’s abuse because signs weren’t permitted at the meeting, speakers like Lisa Lorincz, mother of survivor Kaylee Lorincz, singled out Engler and board chairman Brian Breslin for rebuke. "I heard you praise (former MSU President) Lou Anna Simon," Lorincz told Breslin, "and two days later you asked for her resignation."

"Today," she continued, "it's all about Engler, and you wonder why we're upset? If you would say 'we're sorry, Spartans really will do better,' you wouldn't have all of this."

ReclaimMSU put out a 19-page plan to create a new University Board for the presidential search that would include faculty, students and staff.

None of the Trustees, nor President Engler, spoke with reporters after the meeting.
