The Michigan State University Board of Trustees will meet again today. The top item on the Trustees agenda is setting housing and dining plan pricing for the 2018-19 academic year.
They’ll also consider creating and filling two positions. Kathleen Wilbur would serve as Executive Vice President for Government and External Relations, at a salary of $320,000. Emily Guerrant would become Vice President and University Spokesperson, with a $180,000 salary.
It’s likely that there will be more criticism of MSU’s handling of sexual assaults. Student and faculty groups are calling for a role in MSU’s presidential search and amending the state constitution to add student and faculty members to the board.
