Details have emerged about the tentative four-year contract between the United Auto Workers Union and General Motors.

There's no word yet from today’s meeting of the union’s national council about possibly recommending approval.

The deal reportedly includes a ratification bonus of $11,000 for senior employees and $4,500 for temporary workers.

There’s also a pathway to fully-vested employment for temporary workers.

Pay would go up by 3% in years two and four of the contract. Workers would get 4% lump sum payments in the first and third years.

There are no changes to health care and no additional costs to UAW members.

Under the deal, three GM plants including the Warren transmission facility would remain closed, but the Detroit Hamtramck plant would stay open, reportedly to build an electric truck.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
