Brian Jackson is a Democrat running for Ingham County prosecutor.

Brian Jackson is one of six candidates running for Ingham County Prosecutor in August. He’s the second candidate to appear on Current State to discuss why he’s running.

Stuart Dunnings III will be resigning as the Ingham County Prosecutor in July, and there are six candidates running in the August 2 primary to fill his seat. The top two finishers in the primary will then face off in the November general election, when voters will choose who will serve Ingham County as prosecutor from January 1, 2017 through the end of 2020.

Current State is reaching out to all the candidates to invite them to discuss why they’re running and what they hope to bring to the office.

Today we talk with Democrat and Lansing native Brian Jackson. He’s the owner of Jackson Law PLLC, and he formerly worked in the Eaton County Prosecutor's office and as a Lansing Assistant City Attorney.
