Information Technology insiders say the Lansing area has hundreds of IT jobs that need filling. Current State talks about careers in IT with Andrea Ragan of the Capital Area IT Council.

“Hundreds of IT jobs are available in mid-Michigan.” That's a line from a column in last Sunday's Lansing State Journal.

Andrea Ragan, Executive Director of the Capitol Area IT Council, collaborated on that column with an executive of Capital Area Michigan Works, the organization that helps job-seekers. Both claim that a number of persistent myths keep people from pursuing jobs or getting training in the IT field, which they say offers plenty of job opportunities in the Lansing area.

We talk with Andrea Ragan about IT careers in the Lansing area.
