Mark Dantonio and the MSU football celebrate at Lucas Oil Stadium after winning the Big Ten Championship over Iowa.

The MSU football team topped the Iowa Hawkeyes, 16-13, at the Big Ten Championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday night.

The win propelled the Spartans into the College Football Playoff as a third seed, where they will play second-seeded Alabama in the Cotton Bowl Classic in Texas on New Year's Eve. WKAR's Al Martin reports from Indy during the aftermath of the MSU win over the Hawkeyes that sent MSU into national championship contention.
