Summer Travel in Michigan

As Michiganders prepare for the summer months, AAA says travel is picking back up to pre-pandemic levels.

One Michigan couple is bringing vintage, kitschy hotel stays to a whole new audience online. Their pictures of heart-shaped tubs and clamshell beds get hundreds of thousands of likes on social media.

Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources allows visitors to reserve sites six months out, so that means bookings are available throughout the summer months.
