Nearly a week after voters elected two city council members, East Lansing will choose a Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem on Monday night.
The city charter mandates the council appoint the two positions a week after council elections.
Mark Meadow is East Lansing 's current mayor.
Last week, voters elected 21-year-old MSU student Aaron Stephens and re-elected Ruth Beier to council. Both will be sworn into office before city council elects the new mayor.
The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. in Courtroom 2 of East Lansing 54B District Court.
