Governor Rick Snyder will deliver an address Friday on Michigan’s energy future.

Governor Snyder is joining the debate as the Legislature embarks on the first major re-write of Michigan’s energy policy in many years.
“Hopefully, we can establish a strong energy policy for Michigan that can last the next decade or so,” he says.
The governor says flexibility, affordability, and environmental protection should all be considered. Two big questions are how much the state’s major utilities should have to compete with alternative suppliers, and how big a role renewable fuels should play.
