MI First Election reporter Camille Douglas speaks with likely voters Christopher Michael and Beverly Telaga.

Christopher Michael, a first-time voter and MSU student, says he supports Donald Trump "because he is a great businessman and he would be a more powerful leader."

Beverly Telaga, a retiree from Rochester Hills, supports Hillary Clinton "because I think she's hard working, I think she's trustworthy, and she is for women to choose their own path in life."

MI First Election brings together student reporters and media professionals to form Michigan’s largest election team, covering state and local issues affecting first-time voters. MI First Election is a project of the School of Journalism at Michigan State University, with production and editorial support from WKAR Public Media. The J-School and WKAR are units of the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at MSU.
