Lansing Mayor Andy Schor has submitted his budget for the next fiscal year, while noting that revisions may be needed due to swiftly changing conditions related to the Coronavirus pandemic.

His fiscal year 2021 spending plan for the city is $224.6-million dollars, down 0.8-percent, and Schor’s general fund budget of $144-million dollars is up 3.3-percent.

The city charter required Schor to submit a budget today. The city council must approve a budget by May 18th.

Tonight’s council meeting has been canceled. There won’t be any council or committee meetings considered until at least April 13th.
