The Republican National Convention in Cleveland has nominated Donald Trump for president. The party also has formally nominated Indiana Gov. Mike Pence for vice president.

The Michigan delegation delayed announcing its vote total so that Trump’s home state of New York could put the nominee over the top. When state party chair Ronna Romney McDaniel later announced Michigan’s votes, Trump received 51 of them. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz got 6 votes from Michigan, and two went to Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

On this day after the Trump nomination, Current State talks with a Michigan delegate to the GOP convention. Sen. Joe Hune is supporting Donald Trump.
