Caps' year! On this episode of "Current Sports with Al Martin," Al recaps the epic conclusion to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, as the Washington Capitals captured Lord Stanley's Cup with a 4-3 win over the Las Vegas Golden Knights. Alexander Ovechkin, widely regarded as one of the top NHL players in the last decade, finally secured his first Finals victory. Al also gives his prediction for Game 4 of the NBA Finals, in which the Golden State Warriors are ahead three games to none. Al and engineer Ian Hawley also debate the potential offseason moves that LeBron James could make. John Engler, Michigan State's interim president, is being criticized for the email that he released in response to a young woman claiming the university had mishandled her sexual assault claims. Al talks about the email and the possible violations of privacy law in it. To close the show, Al and Ian reflect on their favorite moments of the week coming out of the sports world in Reflection Friday.
