Books, Bites, and Bids
Books, Bites, and Bids
Join us for the East Lansing Public Library's annual fundraising event which returns on Friday, April 12, from 5:30-8pm. Books, Bites & Bids will include delicious food, beer and wine, family activities, a photo booth, music, a silent auction and a chance to connect with others in the community.
WKAR's Jody Knol will be our emcee for the program, and Amy Zaagman, President of the library's Board of Directors will also share a few words. You will also have a chance to meet our new Library Director, Kevin King!
Books, Bites & Bids always takes place on the Friday of National Library Week. The theme for National Library Week 2024, “Ready, Set, Library!,” promotes the idea that in our always-online world, libraries give us a green light to something truly special: a place to connect with others, learn new skills, and focus on what matters most.
Tickets are $70 per couple or family, and $35 for an individual. Ticket prices include cost of food and drinks.
Just a few of the many silent auction baskets to look forward to: a "Touch the Night Sky" which includes an annual membership to Abrams Planetarium; a gardening basket with a gift card to Van Atta's and an edible flowers puzzle; Wharton tickets to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's production of Mozart and the Seasons with a restaurant gift card and a local hotel overnight stay; Yoga baskets; Spoonful of Granola; Peacock Road Family Tree Farm; Saper Gallery Gift Certificate; Family Fun packages and many more!
