Detroit Lions; Matt Patricia; New England Patriots; NBA Trade Deadline; Michigan State Football; Mark Dantonio; Craig Evans

Power moves only here on "Current Sports with Al Martin," as Al and engineer Ian Hawley talk about the Detroit Lions' press conference  that was held Thursday morning for new head coach Matt Patricia. Was this the right hire? Al tells why the relationship between Patricia and general manager Bob Quinn will prove to be vital. Al also brings live updates from the NBA Trade Deadline madness. Isaiah Thomas has been traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Los Angeles Lakers. Al discusses this trade and many others, including trade rumors and updates from the Detroit Pistons.

To close the show, former MSU defensive lineman Craig Evans joins Al. Evans transferred to Oregon State after his redshirt freshman year due to marijuana use. He talks about Mark Dantonio's ethics and disciplinary style, as well as his recruiting technique and the respect he has for his players, disputing the ESPN "E:60" report. A must-listen interview!
