Katie Cook / WKAR

Michigan State University; Michigan Basketball; Iowa Basketball; Florida Shooting; Steve Finamore; East Lansing High School Basketball

We begin this episode of Current Sports with Al Martin by remembering the lives lost in a school shooting in Florida on Wednesday. Al recounts why this school shooting hits so close to home. Next, Steve Finamore, coach of East Lansing boys basketball, joins Al to talk about the Trojans season so far after playing back to back games this week. Al then discusses MSU Interim President John Engler's response to ESPN's E:60 report on MSU basketball and football. Engler called the report "sensationalized," and Al explains why he agrees with Engler's analysis. Engineer Ian Hawley and Al briefly discuss Michigan basketball's win over Iowa Wednesday night, and debate whether Michigan can beat Ohio State later this week.
