Housing First Series: A Safe Place for Abused Women

NPR's Joe Shapiro reports on a shelter in Austin, Texas, that places battered women into temporary "transitional" housing while the organization finds more permanent housing for them. They also help the women learn skills needed to find jobs and take care of their children.
