LANSING, MI –

Lansing's Capital Region International Airport is expanding its list of destinations.

AUDIO:
On Wednesday, airport officials announced it will add Montego Bay, Jamaica and Fort Meyers, Florida to its flight schedule. It will also reintroduce service to Las Vegas and Orlando, as well as expand service to Cancun, Mexico. Bob Selig is the Executive Director of the Capital Region Airport Authority. He says past demand for Lansing flights to warm destinations is encouraging.

"They've already demonstrated that they will support it," he says. "You know, we had people standing in line for the Cancun flights and couldn't get the tickets that they wanted."

Selig would not say whether the expansion is a sign of a rebounding economy. Flights to the new destinations begin in December and will run until May.
