Were you one of the first people to rush out to buy an Apple Watch 7 years ago?

LEILA FADEL, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Leila Fadel.

Were you one of the first people to rush out to buy an Apple Watch seven years ago? Apple says some of those early models are now obsolete. So while the watches might still work, Apple will no longer provide support or service for the device. Sure, this can happen in the world of tech products, but the trouble is one of the obsolete models is an original Apple Watch with an 18-karat-gold casing. The original cost? $17,000. Ouch.
