Guest violinist and soloist competition winner Serafima Bezuglova performs the first movement of Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor with the Mason Symphony. The Mason Philharmonic, conducted by Dilek Engin Stolarchuk, performs "Turkish Fragments" (Ippolitov-Ivanov). The Mason Symphony, conducted by David Schultz, performs selections from movies including "Wicked," "Jaws," "Lord of the Rings," and "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
Other pieces include the 2nd movement of Beethoven Symphony No.7 and excerpts from Ponchielli's opera "La Gioconda." Together the orchestras perform music from the movie "Gladiator."
