Removing Invasives and Planting Natives to Protect Our Fresh Water
Removing Invasives and Planting Natives to Protect Our Fresh Water
The Wild Ones Red Cedar Chapter's April meeting will focus on protecting our precious water resources. Our guest speaker will be Paige Filice, Natural Resources Educator with MSU Extension. She will highlight the value of native plants and how they can improve our waterways. This can include having buffer zones and natural shorelines along lakes and rivers. Rain gardens and bio-swales can be used to remove pollutants and slow the flow of storm water. Every bit helps. Come learn what you can do. This event is free and open to the public.
