Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation, so we’re helping to gather food and personal supplies for those of our community in need. Items especially in need are listed on our Event Calendar. Drop off donations at GLADL - donations will be delivered to the GL SDA Food Bank, and will be distributed through the Food Bank and GLEAP.

Explore the MSU 4-H Children's Garden and listen to stories as you do. Teen volunteers and library staff will share stories with garden visitors. Great for kids from 0 to 100!
Stories in the Garden is a partnership between the East Lansing Public Library and the Michigan 4-H Children’s Gardens. Interested teen readers should contact our teen librarian Storm.
This program is outdoors and weather dependent - if the weather is stormy, we will reschedule for another day.
Join us for an afternoon of fun and friendly Switch gaming! We’ll play Super Smash Bros today! Feel free to bring your Switch to play between your turns! All skill levels welcome!
As we get close to celebrating our county’s Independence Day Holiday, there will be no better way to kick off this celebration than to hear The Lansing Concert Band, the official band of the City of Lansing, perform an incredible program of movie music, patriotic tunes, marches, along with standard traditional concert band literature. Also included will be the Armed Forces Salute, the Stars and Stripes Forever and much much more.
This band, rich in history, is now celebrating its 80th year! It is under the direction of Dr. Steven Sudduth, who brings a wealth of musical experiences into the mix. Ms. AnnaMaria Horn will lend her fine vocals to Somewhere Over the Rainbow & America the Beautiful. The concert is loaded with many favorites - this concert is not to be missed! Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy!
