Lansing-area families are invited to Lids for Kids on Saturday, May 16, 10 am-12 pm at Frances Park, for a fun, educational bike safety event. Kids will receive a free, custom-fitted bike helmet, learn important safety tips, and enjoy games, activities, and character meet-and-greets.
Did you know? Wearing a bike helmet can reduce the risk of head injuries by up to 85%, yet only 15% of children under the age of 14 wear one while biking. Sinas Dramis Law Firms’ Lids for Kids is helping to change that; it has already provided 14,000 helmets to Michigan children.
In addition to the helmet giveaway, other activities include balloon twisting, mini tennis, bubble art, hockey puck handling, nature exploration, crafts, a bike drawing, and more. Kids must be present to receive a helmet, and helmets must be worn to enter the bike drawing.
Ages 0 - 2We’ll read a story, sing and rhyme together, and have fun while learning and playing. We’ll end with time for caregivers to socialize and babies to play.https://gladl.libcal.com/event/14914138
