Former Michigan State University president Lou Anna Simon appeared Tuesday under subpoena in front of a Senate subcommittee about how the handling of the Larry Nassar sexual abuse investigation. Click on this story to hear Simon's Opening and Closing remarks and some exchanges with Senators during the hearing.

"I am horrified that Nassar's crimes happened during my tenure," Simon said during her opening remarks. "Had I known that Nassar was sexually abusing young women, I would have taken immediate action to prevent him from preying on additional victims."
