Corunna, MI – CORUNNA, Mich. (AP) - A jury has reached a verdict in the murder
trial of a man who admits shooting an anti-abortion activist and a
businessman in a small Michigan community.
The jury convicted Harlan Drake of first-degree murder in the fatal shootings of James Pouillon and Mike Fuoss last September.
Prosecutors say Drake held grudges and didn't like Pouillon's aggressive protests in front of kids. Defense lawyers asked the jury to find him not guilty by reason of insanity. The trial began March 1.
