LANSING, MI –
Ingham Regional Medical Center says it will lay off between 100 and 150 employees. Hospital officials attribute the layoffs to a drop in the number of patients. Staff reductions will occur in administrative, managerial and clinical departments. The Lansing hospital is owned by the McLaren Health Care System, which owns 8 other hospitals. McLaren says it will work with laid off workers to find them positions elsewhere in its system. The hospital says it will notify affected staff Monday. Ingham Regional employs about 2,000 workers.
