The City of Lansing’s Human Relations and Community Services Department invites you to join us for the Spring 2025: Empower & Protect: Housing Rights and Resources Fair! This event will take place from 5:30 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Letts Community Center - Gymnasium (1220 W. Kalamazoo St, Lansing, MI 48915).

This event will provide the information and tools you need to navigate housing challenges. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of housing topics, including:

• Fair housing laws and tenant protections
• Affordable housing options
• Homeownership and first-time homebuyer assistance
• Rent assistance and eviction prevention
• Home repairs and improvement programs
• Lead removal and environmental health
• Code enforcement
• Financial literacy and budgeting
• Housing counseling and support services
• Emergency assistance programs

Attorneys from Legal Services of South Central Michigan (LSSCM) will also be available to discuss fair housing laws and answer legal questions related to housing rights. Additionally, local housing experts will provide guidance on accessing community resources.
