U.S. cardinal calls for the defunding of ICE

One of the country’s highest-ranking Catholic leaders, and a top ally of Pope Leo, is sharply criticizing the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement, calling ICE a “lawless organization." Cardinal Joseph Tobin, the head of the Archdiocese of Newark, urged members of the Church to pressure lawmakers to block funding for ICE. Geoff Bennett spoke with Cardinal Tobin to discuss his concerns.
