Your Weekend NewsTalk Listening Gets A Refresh

New times for Ondas, Wait Wait, Hidden Brain, MSU Today and more Beginning July 6, WKAR NewsTalk brings a refreshed weekend lineup of favorites for newshounds, talk radio junkies, and global citizens of Michigan’s Capital Region. Many longtime favorites will be heard at new times on the weekend, as we work to match what you want to hear with when you want to hear it. 

WKAR NewsTalk is heard on AM 870 during daylight hours and 24/7 on 105.1 FM and streaming at wkar.org. 

Here are some highlights from the new weekend schedule: 

  • "Ondas en Español" with El Chayo Cervantes moves to Sundays 2pm-5pm 
  • "It’s Been a Minute" and "Hidden Brain" shift times on Saturdays to noon and 1pm, respectively 
  • "National Writers Series" moves to Saturdays at 5pm 
  • "MSU Today" with Russ White moves to 9am Sundays 
  • "Wait Wait, Don’t Tell Me" and "This American Life" move together to Sundays at noon and 1pm, respectively
