Think you are a super speedy block builder? Grab some friends and test your skill as a team to speed build a Lego set! All teams will build the same provided set in a timed competition. The first team to finish will win a small prize. Teams will consist of 2 to 4 kids between the ages of 7 and 10, based on the official recommended ages for the selected Lego set. Registration opens June 24 and closes when full.

Get ready to be thoroughly entertained when the high energy Michigan based Ron St. Germain Band hits the stage running with a performance that will have you moving all night long!

Ron’s music is best described as ‘rebel country’ with a fine mix of folk, country, rock, and southern rock. He has written many originals over the years. which are full of meaningful lyrics. Ron is also a published writer of children’s books, which are sold internationally. Members of the band include guitarist Kevin Coltman, Dave Eckmyre on bass with Richard Spata-Merrell on drums. The band has played many big stages warming up for national shows. They have won Lansing Has Talent, with Ron winning the Michigan Acoustic Rumble. And just announced, the band will headline the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame Inductees Show the end of July.

Through fun storytelling, audience participation, and plenty of dino-mite moments, you'll explore different dinosaur species, ancient ecosystems, and the exciting world of paleontology. It's an egg-cellent blend of education and entertainment that's perfect for young dinosaur enthusiasts!

Join the East Lansing Kiwanis Community Band on July 16 for a free family-friendly concert of Broadway tunes, marches, and traditional concert band music. The performance begins at 7 pm in the Henry Fine Park, behind Robert L. Green Elementary School. Bring Blankets, lawn chairs, and the family!

The Packard Farmers Market returns for the 2026 season at the historic Packard Proving Grounds, bringing together local farmers, artisans, bakers, makers, and small businesses in a one-of-a-kind setting where history and community meet.

Formerly known as the Shelby Farmers Market, the newly rebranded Packard Farmers Market reflects its deep connection to the Packard Proving Grounds and its mission to support the preservation of this iconic historic site. The market runs Saturdays from May 16 through October 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on the expansive front lawn of the Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site.

Each week, the market is arranged in neat rows across the lawn, offering a relaxed, walkable shopping experience. Vendors may park directly next to their booths, and the grass setting provides a cooler summer atmosphere ideal for tent setups. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. The market is supported by Packard Proving Grounds volunteers and local high school students earning community service hours.

The Packard Farmers Market is open on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends and will be closed Saturday, July 4. Proceeds from the market directly benefit the ongoing restoration and preservation of the Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site, owned and operated by the Packard Motor Car Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
