Discovery shareholders just days after a deal was formed with Netflix, President Trump's former personal lawyer resigned as acting U.S. attorney in New Jersey, Syria marks one year since a rebel uprising toppled dictator Bashar al-Assad and some students abducted in Nigeria were freed.
