By Mark Bashore, WKAR

EAST LANSING, MI –

Authorities say 11 college students are looking for new quarters after a fire destroyed their East Lansing house Friday morning. Fire officials say all residents at 318 Elm Place escaped safely. They initially estimated damage at $500,000 and call it a total loss. Michigan State University is working to find alternative housing for those displaced.

Officials say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
